Planning application has now gone in for two monitoring masts, one 80 metres (262 feet) high and the other 60 metres (196 feet),
one to the north of Woodside, Roadhead, Carlisle, CA6 6PG and the other to the south of Moss Grove, Roweltown, Carlisle.
These are to test the practicality of wind turbines 124 metres (410 feet) high.
